Tarawera Ultra-Trail by UTMB is New Zealand's Premier trail running event held in Rotorua, New Zealand’s birthplace of tourism.

Our spectacular courses take in the most stunning scenery imaginable, featuring eight different lakes, waterfalls, and the lushest native New Zealand forests. Whether you choose the T21, T50, T102 or the TMiler, our friendly trail running community welcomes athletes of all abilities with open arms. Courses are all point-to-point, on mostly non-technical runnable terrain. They are designed with the aim of seeing everyone succeed. Sika Show

The Sika Show is New Zealand’s & Australasia’s largest Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show plus annual Hunting Competition that has been running now for an incredible 31 years!

Originating in Taupo in 1993 at the Spa Hotel it has since grown exponentially over the years and is now held at Mystery Creek in Hamilton to accomodate the large capacity it requires.

It is NZ's Premier Outdoor Event and the passionate NZ hunter and outdoor lovers celebration of the year plus a tribute to Sika and all of our precious big game species.

With around 10,000+ attendee’s converging on the event annually to immerse themselves in everything hunting and outdoors that NZ has to offer. Shotover Moonlight Marathon

The Shotover Moonlight Mountain Marathon & Trail Runs will be held on the 14 and 15 February 2025 - you will be able to experience the challenging and diverse terrain of Ben Lomond Station near Queenstown.

Starting beside the famous Shotover River you'll run along sheep tracks, historic gold mining water races and high country mustering routes. The scenery is forever changing as you climb and descend through tussock lands, mountain ridges, beech forest and creeks, a scree slope descent, a ladder climb beside a waterfall and even a tunnel on the valley floor.The course finishes near picturesque Moke Lake where you'll be able to relax and reflect on your huge personal achievement and celebrate with fellow competitors and supporters.The Foster Family looks forward to hosting you on their special piece of Aotearoa.

Tussock Traverse


THIS IS ONE BEAST OF A TRAIL RUNNING AND WALKING EVENT HELD IN THE TONGARIRO NATIONAL PARK.

The Tussock Traverse returned in 2024 as a standalone event, just in time to celebrate its 20th birthday!

The Goat

Want to do The Goat next year? We dare you!

The Goat is an exhilarating adventure run from Whakapapa to Turoa Ski Fields on the Round the Mountain track, traversing the western slopes of Mount Ruapehu.

The 20 kilometre (approx.) course has over 1,000 metres of vertical ascent and covers amazing terrain. Pass by stunning scenery ranging from ancient lava flows and scoria fields, mountain beech forest, tussock grasslands, and alpine herb fields to cascading waterfalls, an alpine lake, boulder-strewn rivers, and amazing panoramic views.

This UNESCO Dual World Heritage Area; the Tongariro National Park is a magical place for trail runners and adventurers alike.
